Nick Hywell is an experienced actor based in Cardiff, with additional working bases in London and Glasgow. Fluent in both English and Welsh, he learnt Welsh as an adult and has since performed extensively in both languages on stage and screen.

 

With over two decades of stage experience, Nick’s theatre work includes Everything Must Go (Sherman Theatre), Missing (Theatr Iolo), From the House of the Dead (Welsh National Opera), Y Dychweliad (Re-Live Theatre Company), Finding Home (Mercury Theatre Wales), and Shirley (Nova Theatre Company). He is also a seasoned pantomime villain having played roles such as King Rat, Fleshcreep and Abanazar.

 

Nick’s screen credits include Nuts + Bolts and Out There (ITV), Gwaith/Cartref and Pili Pala (S4C), and The Pact II (BBC).

 

Beyond performing, Nick is an experienced Acting Coach, mentoring young actors across several South Wales drama schools. Nick is an Equity member and fully DBS-certified.
